"Itzel” was written in the winter after my trip to Mexico. With covid restrictions (Omicron), airports, borders, immigration, and the strange feeling of being a foreigner in your own country (yes), it was crazy but always good to remember where you are from!

Itzel (Ixchel) is a Mayan name that means "wonderful woman". This name reverberated in my mind throughout the trip.
